Leads a team of seasoned industry professionals on various aircraft procurement, disposal and lease related projects, with a focus on the Greater China Region.
Prior to founding PGA Aviation, Calvin spent 7 years with Boeing Commercial Airplanes as Sales Director, based in Seattle. There, he was responsible for some of the biggest and most strategic accounts of the OEM in China. He was the leader of a group of dedicated Sales, Marketing, Contract, and Customer Engineering personnel who, together, sold hundreds of new aircraft to Chinese airlines. Among other accomplishments, they completed the first fifteen (15) 777-300ER transaction between a Chinese customer and the OEM back in 2007.
Prior to re-engagement with PGA Aviation, Calvin also spent 3 years with Bombardier Commercial Airplanes, based in Shanghai, where he lead a creative sales team for the OEM's CSeries, regional jet and turboprop products in the Mainland China, Taiwan and Mongolia markets.
Having been trained as a lawyer, Calvin started his career in Air China's Legal Affairs Department in Beijing, as a staff attorney. He worked there 3 years, then moved to New York City, where he received another law degree and practiced law with Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, in its New York Office. He was there for more than 2 years where, as a member of firm's Aviation Practice Group, he represented some major Chinese airlines in the US.
Calvin also currently serves as Senior Advisor - Greater China Region, Morten Beyer & Agnew (MBA), a global appraisal firm.
Calvin holds a Bachelor Degree (LLB) from Beijing University Law School, and a Master of Laws Degree (LLM) from New York University (NYU) School of Law. Calvin is a member of New York Bar since 2003.
